There's small wooden bridge that cross over the park to the other side of Cross Island Parkway. It will take you to Little Neck Bay. People go fishing there and take their Canoe out. Great view for sunset. You can bike or 5 mins driving there.
Great neighborhood park. It has playground, baseball field, tennis courts and plenty of place to sit and relax.
