Tips van locals
Another great walkable neighborhood in San Diego with bars, restaurants, and cafes.
This neighborhood is got alot of shops, restaurants and cafes. Easy to walk around in, lots of people jog and walk their dogs throughout the day. Many parks to play, and relax in. Built in the late 1800's, there's alot of century old craftsman homes in this area.
Local scene is on Park Blvd and Adams Avenue. Trendy places to visit. Where middle aged and younger crowds merge. Continue east on Adams avenue to find many local pubs and hang out places.
There are many wonderful individually owned restaurants. Most are very accommodating to any diet restrictions.

Tree-lined Fern and 30th streets, the main thoroughfares, are also home to indie boutiques and cafes, while nearby Grape Street Dog Park has views over the downtown skyline. The adjacent Golden Hill area is known for its classic bungalow homes and artisanal coffee bars.”
