If you like local and national history and historic houses, this is a pleasant historic house maintained by the national parks service, which is open seasonally late May through the fall, and has grounds that are open year-round.
A historic site located at 105 Brattle Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. For almost fifty years, it was the home of noted American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It had previously served as the headquarters of General George Washington, 1775-76. Near Harvard Square.
Tours of the famed poet's former home, which served as Washington's HQ during the Siege of Boston.
