Pop into the bar for a drink in a living piece of Cape Town history. One of the oldest functioning hotels and backpackers, the bustling bar drips with character (and characters).
Established in 1895, one of the oldest pubs in the country. Local art scene hangout. Go for the cheap drinks and jukebox.
Oldest bar in Cape Town, an institution...a bit seedy but a very interesting place...they also have a jukebox and some interesting Capetonian characters.

“The Haas Collective offers a multi-sensory experience serving great coffee and food in their exquisite 1904 building. Now located in the heart of Cape Town CBD, Haas still specialises in rare and exotic single-origin coffees from relationship farms such as their Jamaican Blue Mountain that are – like all their beans – roasted in house. They sell freshly packed blends and offer free delivery on orders of at least 3kg in Cape Town. Tuck into their knockout muffins and other baked goodies while sipping on a cuppa.”
