Tips van locals
Triple C Brewing was one of South End’s first breweries and it has endured the changing -- and at times crowded -- landscape of breweries in the area. They have created a community passionate about their beers, and, in recent years, added an event space to accommodate weddings and special events…
Triple C’s barrel room offers big tables, expansive windows and 20 taps including beer and wine. Pro tip: A food truck is onsite just about every day. Check the schedule here.
One of the original Charlotte breweries. After you sample some of the local brews, go across the street to Suffolk Punch.
Nearby 2 other breweries so you can hop if you like. Almost always has a food truck on site for a quick bite, or check out The Suffolk Punch/Hyde Brewing across the street.

“As the Unknown website puts it: “Our beer is one thing we take serious, everything else in life we don’t.” Come in here and be yourself, kick back with a variety of IPAs, stouts, porters, seasonal brews and more. Pro tip: If you’re in the mood for something nonalcoholic, their signature ginger ale is spicy and light.”

“This restaurant concept, which shares a space and ownership with Hyde Brewing, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with its taphouse, coffee bar, fermentation lab and cafe components. Pro tip: Drink in the beautiful, plant-infused space while you drink a selection from the coffee bar (where coffee is viewed as art), or beer tap.”

“Lightrail/shortwalk, or car/uber there. The reboot. Part convenience store, part beer/wine bar, part deli, it's a hub for neighbors to hang. This one is in South End, and is a new 2018 re-build of a beloved one that was torn down to make way for progress. Funky vibe. Bonus: a Cluck Design Collaborative project. ”
