The Frame Lake Trail winds around Frame Lake, past City Hall and the Legislative Assembly. Parts of the trail require scrambling and climbing over rocks, so be sure to wear sturdy footwear. The trail takes about an hour or more to walk around. But even if you don’t want to hike that far, a short out-and-back walk is also very nice.

Nice walking trail around Frame Lake, in the centre of Yellowknife. Some parts of the trail are paved, and other parts are over rock.
