Plenty to see here. A combination of thermal activity and Māori culture. A great package.

Immediately it may seem to you that this place is expensive ... But, if everything is considered, what is included here, then you will understand that it is not. Here, in one place "all inclusive". Famous Pohutu Geyser (30m) .This is the largest geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Kiwi birds. Maori workshop art. You can see how the craftsmen work with the stone (you can make an individual order), wood, etc. Maori concert. You can go for dinner. Here in the restaurant there is a buffet and it is interesting that you can try traditional Hangy food (the food is cooked underground, using a thermocouple). There is also a lot of desserts and delicacies. You will go for a walk along the geyser valley.

Te Puia is a great fusion of Māori culture meets geothermal, if you’re pushed for time during your visit we recommend Te Puia located 5 minute drive from the centre of Rotorua city. Your Day Pass entry gives you a free guided tour, showing you highlights of the park including the famous Pohutu Geyser, bubbling hot springs, rivers and mud pools, the NZ Māori Arts & Crafts Institute where you can watch master wood and greenstone carvers make masterpieces, and weavers using flax to make various traditional pieces. In addition to the tour you get free time to explore further on your own, don’t miss the Kiwi house so you can see our iconic native bird (no photography)! The cafe is brand new and you can try Māori kai (food) a hangi buffet lunch here - so delicious! More info here: www.tepuia.com
