If you’re looking for a beach with lots of bars, shopping and things to do check out Folly Beach. A popular tourist beach about 20 miles away, 30 minutes or so from the air b n b.

Folly Beach is a family-friendly beach and mecca for the laid-back beach lifestyle. Surfers can head to the Washout, history lovers can check out Morris Island Lighthouse, fishing enthusiasts can head to the pier, and there's plenty of beach for building sandcastles or taking long walks. There are quite a few dining options along Center Street including The Washout, Rita's Seaside Grill and The Crab Shack. SUP Safari offer paddle boarding, Carolina Salt Surf Lessons can set you up with a board or reach out to Charleston Outdoor Adventures for guided kayaking in the inter-coastal.

If you make it to folly make sure you sneak over to the lighthouse inlet preserve. Like a private beach with a view of the lighthouse.
