Mountain City, TN - 1203 Harbin Hill Rd. Offers 8,600 acres of protected mountain terrain, located in beautiful Johnson County, in the High Country of North East Tennessee. We are a desirable Outdoor Recreation Destination, where safety meets adventure. Here you can enjoy over 50 miles of blazed trails, including ATV Trails offering all difficulty ratings, peaceful and scenic Hiking Trails for all experience levels and challenging Mountain Biking Trails for two wheel peddling enthusiasts. All of our open Adventure Trails have good signage for your convenience. We are known for not being crowded and for offering a quiet wilderness experience. You will enjoy our protected natural resources and good long range views. Our Main Attractions are the Kettlefoot Fire Tower that stands atop Doe Mountain at 3889’ elevation and Chimney Rock Overlook, that provides breathtaking views of Roan Creek Valley and beyond. The Doe Mountain Adventure Center is located at the Harbin Hill Trailhead and serves as the base camp for all mountain activities and is where we hold Safety Classes, Interpretive Programs and Outdoor Adventure Expositions. It is also our Trail Information Center, where you can purchase User Permits and obtain Trail Maps and Trail Books. A great place for families, friends and groups to explore the outdoors together.

Only minutes away, you can find yourself on the Doe Mountain Trails via R&D Campground access point. You can bring your own ATV and purchase an access pass, or swing by the Recreation Welcome Center to rent an ATV.

Are you into riding dirt bikes, atvs, or side by sides? This place offers 8600 Acres of land to ride, or even hike! Don't forget to visit the Kettlefoot Fire tower at a whopping 60 ft with an elevation of 3,889 feet. Amazing views!
