Foothills Parkway is a great place for sunset photos on a clear day, or sunrise if you are an early bird. It goes on for miles and has two distinct and different sections - one between 129 at Chilhowee Lake and 321 near Townsend/Walland. The newest section connects with 321 in Wears Valley. The first section provides views of the Tennessee Valley to one side and higher mountains on the Tennessee/North Carolina border on the other side. The Eastern section is higher in elevation and provides outstanding views of the Smokies.

iconic scenic drive with areas to stop and enjoy the views. also connects cub water cabin to wears valley a great rout to get to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. the parkway also connects to us-129 "the tail of the dragon" a world famous rd known for its curve switch backs and incredible views

Foothills Parkway- Most visitors to the Foothills Parkway enter at the north end from US-321 in Walland, Tennessee, a small town located between Maryville and Townsend.
