Lovely national park with short hikes to Dawson Falls and other parts of the area. Also the closest place to find snow if it has snowed low enough down the mountain. Can get busy on snow days so drive carefully as the road is very narrow and you may need chains.

This is another entry point into Egmont National Park. The Dawson Falls are just a 10 min walk off the road. There are other short walks you can do from the Visitors Centre such as Wilkies Pools. Take your togs in summer for a refreshing dip.
