Colobus Conservation is a non-for-profit organization designed to promote the conservation, preservation and protection of primates like the nationally threatened Angolan Colobus monkey, which you will see in the local forests. It's worth a visit, and children especially will enjoy seeing the monkeys in their enclosure. I also once had to call the team to help rescue a large male colobus monkey, which had slipped off the roof and got injured and I was rather grateful for the expert help! Watch out for the 'Colobridges' which are spanned above the Diani beach road, so no tree-dweller has to cross the dangerous road on foot! Where you can find out about the local flora and fauna as well as the history of the Mijikenda, the indigineous people of Diani. You can also 'adopt' a monkey which is a way of involving your experience of Diani.
