La Ola, right on the beach, has great seafood, paellas and black (squid ink) rice. Do order “espetos de sardinas” (typical dish in Málaga of sardines skewered on a stick cooked over a woodfire—they’re excellent). 952 85 74 48 for reservations (they only open for lunch).

La Ola Restaurant is more than just a beach restaurant. It is a temple of fresh fish and seafood, masters of rice, located on the seafront, on the beach under the promenade. They propose an essentially Mediterranean cuisine. Open your appetite with delicious salads and taste the incredibleness of its skewers (“espetos”, a specialty of the area, is a way to cook the fish specially sardines by which the fish skewer is grilled with the live coal). Do not miss the different skewers or any dish whose protagonist is fish or seafood, without forgetting their rice dishes, capable of making the difference between the offers on the Costa del Sol.

Typical Spanish beach restaurant with great service. They have the best boquerones al vinagre, vegetarian paella, vegan & gluten free options. Not expensive.
