I used to engage in the standard Portillo's/Al's debate but then at trade show I asked a local what's really the best Italian beef and he told me about Johnnie's and he was not wrong. The beef sandwiches here are just superb, perfectly tender and flavorful on excellent bread and with great tasting peppers.

A famous food stand where you can get a classic Italian beef. It is cash only and there is usually a line out the door!
