Catch the Cremyll or Cawsand passenger ferry to Plymouth and visit the historic site of Plymouth Hoe.
Mayflower Steps, Sir Francis Drake bowling spot, military memorials. Beautiful views over the breakwater, Drake's Island and over to Cornwall. Can be reached via the Barbican.
Lots of Green Space, overlooking Plymouth Sound, right by Plymouth Lighthouse, as well as a place to walk, grab an ice cream and take in the world war monuments.
The Hoe is well worth a visit - you can go up the lighthouse if you are so inclined. look over the edge for some great cafes and bars - not had abad meal in any of them yet!
Plymouth Hoe runs along the waterfront where many famous explorers have sailed to all different parts of the world. Includes Charles Darwin, James Cook, Sir Robert Falcon Scott and Francis Drake.
