A permanent exhibition situated in a traditional and original Georgian townhouse. The Centre tells the story of Jane’s time in Bath, while also explaining the effect that living in Bath had on her writing and on herself. There are also walking tours of Georgian and Regency Bath.

All things Jane Austen. Wonderful museum that looks at life in Regency times and explores how Bath impacted on Austen’s writing. An annual Jane Austen Festival will run September 2021

Great insight into Jane Austen and a great tea shop on the top floor.

Historic Site
“One of the greatest, and most well-preserved religious spas and sites of historic interest in Northern Europe. The unique thermal springs rise at the Baths, which now sit well-below the modern-day street level. Visitors can experience the baths as they were in Roman times through an audio-visual tour, costumed characters and a great activity trail for children.”

“Bath's most famous eating house. Their menu offers historic refreshment based on the original Sally Lunn bun – still baked to a secret recipe – and rich in local cuisine and authentic historic dishes. Step back in time and enjoy breakfast in one of the oldest houses in Bath, built in 1680. (Make sure you catch the museum under the restaurant)”
