Nature reserve close by for beautiful scenic walks and nature watching - "A rich mosaic of wildlife habitats. Beautiful lakes, riverside meadows, reed beds and woodland." Open for drinks, snacks and the purchasing of bird food 10am - 4pm.

Paxton Pits Nature Reserve is a rich mosaic of wildlife habitats, with lakes, riverside, meadow, reedbed, scrub and woodland. It is open for visitors all year round and has a Visitors Centre for refreshments and friendly expertise on the area - this is open most days 10am - 4.30pm.
