Lake Mead is a lake on the Colorado River, about 24 mi from the Las Vegas Strip, southeast of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the states of Nevada and Arizona. It is the largest reservoir in the United States in terms of water capacity.
It's always fun to grab a boat or jet ski's and cruise around Lake mead. Though there isn't much greenery, the geological features are spectacular.

Bennett's favorite place on earth. We go for a run on the train track trail (it goes all the way to the dam--about 9 miles) and then I take him swimming. Every time it's the best day of his life.
