Brooklyn Bridge Park – One of the largest playgrounds in Brooklyn, located at the South end of Brooklyn Bridge Park. There's a whole Swing Park, multiple large climbing structures, a massive sandbox area, and a water park that's open during Summer season. Past the playground, there's a restaurant and public bathrooms and at the far end of the Pier you have several large picnic lawns to sit and play on, complete with the most specacular (sunset!) view of the Manhattan skyline.

This is an amazing park. If you start here (in DUMBO) and walk south until Pier 6, there is a gorgeous view of Manhattan skyline! A must-see!

You have got to get to The Brooklyn Ice cream Factory on pier 1. In 20-30 degree weather the ice cream is just as awesome.
