From Sant Jaume Square, take Llibreteria street and you will reach Plaça del Rei. This is one of the most charming streets in Barcelona, but because of its location it is a bit hidden, and often goes unnoticed by tourists. Here are concentrated many historic buildings of the Middle Ages that are part almost all of the Royal Palace Mayor, which was once the residence and seat of government of the counts of Barcelona and the kings of Aragon.
