They actually have salt ponds here for harvesting amazing salt! Great place to sleep in the sun and read a book oh and of course play in safe waters :)

Salt Pond Beach Park is almost always sunny and perfect for families with shade pavilions and shallow pool areas for keiki to swim. Picnic or BBQ in the park. Lifeguard and facilities available.

Visit the salt pans... the only place in Hawaii where the highly prized alae'a salt is made in this way. Crystal white through dark red, the Kaua'i salt is wildly sought after across Hawai'i nei.
