The Bo-Kaap is an area of Cape Town, South Africa formerly known as the Malay Quarter. It is a former township, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is a historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town.

This charming but sadly rapidly gentrifying district is alive with cultural colour. Book a table for lunch at Dorp Hotel and take in the view.

This is a fantastic ode to South African heritage! The heart and soul of this colourful neighbourhood is wonderful to experience, as well as the delicious food. A bo-kaap inspired cooking course is available in the area.
