There is not just the Monument, but there is so much packed around the monument. In particular the African American Museum - which gets rave reviews. The Air and Space Museum, the Smithsonian and Art galleries gallore. Even the white house is five minutes away.

25 mins from the Nation's Capitol and the sights and sounds of Washington D.C. Georgetown, National Harbor, museums, and the site of much much more. Metro is 15 mins from unit at New Carrollton Station.
