Watch the fisherman in their colorful boats as they haul in the days catch and see the stingrays that swim right up to the peer. Have fish and chips at the local restaurant on the beach.

The Struisbaai harbour is a hub of activity that serves as the entry point for the many colourful fishing boats. There is a restaurant as well. But the best part is to meet Parrie. Parrie is an unusual attraction as he is a resident stingray. He was initially lured to the Struisbaai harbour by morsels thrown over the boats by the returning fisherman, Parrie has now been a regular for several years. Parrie has grown so accustomed to the locals that he can be approached by people and be fed! Although it is always advisable to keep an eye on his swaying tail, Parrie is very friendly. A few more stingrays have joined their famous friend but they are still shy. Parrie on the other hand is happy to greet anyone (especially if they come bring pilchards) You can easily spot him as he is the largest stingray of the group.

Working fishing harbour, you can see the local fishermen coming in and out from sea. Picturesque views great for pictures. You can buy fresh fish.

Lovely working harbour with walking trails along the beach and a nice on the beach fish restuarant - also good to buy fresh caught fish off the local boats (be sure strike a good deal)
