Ooishi sushi is my go-to sushi in all of Boston. It’s a fancy spot where the fish is always fresh and the menu has enough options for all sushi cravings. Even though the restaurant is on the fancier side, you can also show up in gym clothing and no one will bat an eye. They offer traditional sashimi and nigiri options, as well as a variety of special maki rolls. For appetizers, be sure to get the spicy tuna over crispy rice. The dish comes with two large pieces and the combination of warm, crunchy rice with refreshing bites of tuna is very satisfying. My favorite sushi rolls are below. Make a reservation at least a day in advance. They also offer takeout and take the proper precautions so that the sushi travels well.
