We love Karuba, his wife and their story of how Yardy’s Kitchen came to be! Karuba is an award-winning alumnus chef from Whole Foods, who decided to take the entrepreneurial leap to opening his own restaurant hailing from his Jamaican roots with a west coast twist. The result is absolutely delicious food here at reasonable prices (for LA), and worth the wait for his made-to-order dishes, which are great for meat lovers and vegans alike. We love the jerk chicken, jerk bowl and the Beyond Meat Bowl. And if they’re available, try any of their patties (similar to empanadas). You can take them to go! We think Yardy’s is a hidden local gem about to explode, so try it first before everyone else discovers it! Mention “Jonathan and Cindy’s Airbnb” and enjoy 10% off!
