Don't miss the outdoor sculpture garden that is adjacent to the National Gallery of Art. It is the perfect place to relax amid the hustle and bustle of downtown. There is a cafe as well.
Fun place to walk around or in the winter months to do some ice-skating. Wonderful people watching and art.

“Modern and always changing, this museum isn't always on a top 5 list of the National Mall's exhibits, but is a real cool modern gem. Look for the visiting exhibits for ideas. Come and spend an hour and then move on. No need to spend a whole day. ”

“This museum spans two buildings, an East and West Wing, showcasing priceless artworks from Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, John Singleton Copley, Johannes Vermeer, Vincent van Gogh, and Henri Matisse. Tip: Starting May through the end of August, relax in the museum's gorgeous sculpture garden and enjoy performances from the "Jazz in the Garden" series. ”
