This has been voted one of the best lighthouses in the world. Give yourself plenty of time in this coastal corner. Time to take in the sensational scenery and really explore the wild and wonderful natural world around you – this area is regularly visited by whales, porpoises and dolphins. Breathtaking views along the way. This route is famous for the Donegal International Rally. If you wish to shorten your drive you can take the car on Ferry from Buncrana to Ráthmullan and then enjoy the amazing Fanad Drive with scenery you will never forget.

Great views! If the tour is on definitely do it the fella that takes it is full of great information, loads of history! There's usually a coffee stand on arrival, serves lovely hot chocolate for the kiddies. If your lucky enough to visit on a clear day the view is just amazing!

A must sea when coming to Aghadaghly Cottage! Fanad Lighthouse is one of the world's most beautiful lighthouses and is located within the Donegal Gaeltacht on the wild and windswept Fanad peninsula. Enjoy guided tours (or stay solo) but all the while you will be soaking up rugged Donegal in the most beautiful ways.

Voted one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world the trip across the peninsula to see it is almost as beautiful. To get there start off with a left towards Carrigart. You'll see a sign for Kerrykeel and the Harry Blaney bridge about 4 KM's along the road on the right. Once you're over the bridge follow the signs for Fanad Head / Lighthouse. Park up and stroll down to the lighthouse where you can walk right round and take in the spectacular views. I like to come back through Kerrykeel and Milford. Some beautiful views along the water.
