The Lim Bay is part of the 35 km long Lim Valley, which extends almost to the centre of Istria, and is one of the most beautiful natural resources of the Istrian peninsula. The bay itself is slightly longer than 10 km, 30 m deep, with its widest part being about 600 m. Steep hills rise on both sides of the bay, sometimes to a height of 100 m from which breath-taking views extend. For recreationists, hikers, and climbers this is a piece of heaven on earth. Gourmets too will not be disappointed because a variety of shellfish and fish are cultivated on the coast, in brackish water. The Bay has a status of a protected landscape and as such diving, fishing and sailing motorboats are not allowed.
