The Barn offers a relaxed and country atmosphere that is good for grabbing a quick bite to eat before you get here. On Fridays they have bluegrassy local music (super fun!). Also, they have a a wide selection of local beers on tap. If they ask you tavern or restaurant pick tavern it's more fun.

This is my favorite local hike. Though short be warned it is a bit strenuous but it offers the best views of the area. Plan on at least two hours round trip.

Merck has over 30 miles of hiking trails. They are a non-profit farm and forest education center. You can visit the animals there and go for a wonderful hike.

The lake is actually emerald due to the limestone basin. Go here if you want to swim, kayack and fish. You can rent a boat.
