Not cheap though - can always skip the meal for something more purse friendly and have a drink at the bar in front of the fire. If you are up for it, the food is beyond delicious, the wine list is ridiculous and the host is funny and charming.

Lovely local restaurant on the Hudson opposite the train station at Stuyvesant - less than five mins from the Barn.
Good local food nothing too fancy. Very good for brunch on a Sat/ Sunday afternoon. Open Wed-Sunday. Trainspotters will love it.

One of the newer places in town that was converted by the same contractor than did the original conversion of the Barn. Very nice, good food and super popular

Personally, I had the tasting menu and it was f@#$ing fantastic. Really great in the summer as it has a wonderful courtyard. The former home of JR and Teresa's 'Keystone' antique dealers.

Yes, they weigh the coffee. Yes, it is worse than a coffee shop in BK, but... it is the best coffee in town. It is a scene. I sort of hate it, but go look at the bikes in the back. You will definitely go here. It is sort of unavoidable.

People love this place. Fully organic, grass fed beaf etc etc. Its good, but it is also a diner. It is what it is.

Run by Astrid and Patrick, who had all the Le Gamin's in the city 10 years ago. Totally consistent, same menu, same style. If you were ever a fan of these in the city, then go.. it's like going home. Nothing ever changes. And that is a good thing.

So, we used to go to Baba Louie's... the other pizza place 2 doors down. But this place is way better. Really good, European style pizza. Take that as you want. City folks will love it.

This place is pretty amazing. Especially that it exists in a town of less than 10,000 people. Really fun and draws some great live acts. They spent 3+ years of love and devotion building this place out. It is really well done.

Best local country farm stand. the best apple cider doughnuts and pies. Very much worth a visit. And there is the distillery with full bar in the back that makes Core vodka, a great scotch and a variety of apple brandies etc. You will be slightly sozzled when you leave.

So, basically 20 years ago, Hudson was ONLY antique dealers.. that is after the brothels were gone. In the last 5 years, Hudson has become a destination.. so the antiques people have gotten pushed out. Most of the originals from Warren street have come here. It is huge... and a good 2 hours of rummaging on a rainy day. Love this place.

This place is pretty amazing for those who are looking for antiques.. love to dig though old relics. This and the Antiques Warehouse in Hudson. You might actually buy something.
