Hidden gem! Recently changed their name to the “Salty Squid.” Lovely small place right on the beach. Great food and reasonable drink prices. Nice place to spend the afternoon day drinking! They also have all the action sports, including kite boarding instruction.

Parks & Nature
Can be reached in about 30-45 minutes drive from the house. Great park to drive around. Not many elephants these days, but plenty of giraffe, zebra, etc. We one saw a Leopard crossing the road! The Shimba Hills lodge is a great place to check out, perhaps take a G+T on the balcony.

Can be reached in about 30-45 minutes drive from the house. Great park to drive around. Not many elephants these days, but plenty of giraffe, zebra, etc. We one saw a Leopard crossing the road! The Shimba Hills lodge is a great place to check out, perhaps take a G+T on the balcony.
Amazing spot for a swim and photos. Visit early in the morning to get ahead of the tide. Local guides are usually around the beach bar/ lodge nearby (which is also good for secure parking).
