Food Scene
This place is a hidden gem! Located right along the river, tucked back in Washington's Landing next to the boating dock, this place is only good for about 6 months out of the year. The patio seating is really the best part of going (not to say their food isn't good, but it's not THAT good that you want to freeze your butt off or sit inside and totally miss the view anyhow). Besides, they may not even be open during the winter months - who knows! Google, probably. Sometimes they even surprise you and have a little jam band outside under the string globe lights, in which case you really can't think of anywhere else in the world you'd rather be. Highly recommend!

GREAT Bar and Restaurant located in Market Square - downtown. This spot has legit patio seating and for all you sports fans (if you're not a Steelers, Pens or Pirates fan then you don't count), this place has more TV's than you can even imagine. HUGE Tv's! YUGE!!

If yinz don't go here, everyone you tell about your trip to Pittsburgh will ask you if you had a Primanti Bros sandwich and if you say no, they are going to wonder why they are even friends with you. Believe me when I say you shouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day, but it's just one of those things you gotta try once! Or you could not - and say you DID. I think this is the original location, but don't quote me on that. There are several others as well if you want to try squeezing it into your existing plans elsewhere.

Hands down the best breakfast/brunch spot that I know of in Pittsburgh. Fresh ingredients, creative menu, great coffee, and afterwards you can stroll the rest of Butler street in Lawrenceville and find out what all the hype is about! *Not a greasy spoon so prices are a little above average than the famous Pamela's, DeLuca's, etc. Also, if you come back a hipster I can't take the blame for that.

Great place if you're looking for ramen in the area! Highly recommend coming here to warm your belly on a cold day and also to check out the fun sidewalk seating in the summer! Full bar with great drinks as well downstairs in the basement!

Unlike ANY other place you have been...unless your thing is hunting down churches turned breweries! A beautiful interior of a former Catholic church with colorful stained glass windows, an original organ and pew benches from its former days! I can't promise your Catholic guilt won't come into play and make you feel bad for drinking in such an establishment, but it sure is fun and the food and beer are great!

If you love craft beer, you'll love this place! I don't actually know that. I've never been to a brewery, but I assume the people that like them like them all? Plus, Southern Tier is the maker of PumKing which I happen to know is delicious!

Incredible atmosphere, great drinks, and the food is super good also.... if you can get a table. I can tell you with almost certainty that all their bartenders wear suspenders and they almost ALWAYS have a beard. Be sure to check out the upstairs bar to get the full effect.

This place is located right up on Shiloh Avenue, next to Grandview Ave (where the lookout is). The staff is great, the atmosphere is the best on Mount Washington, low-lit and cozy yet fun because they have an entire corner filled with board games, great music, and their cocktails are incredible. I highly recommend the Old-Fashioned, they use fresh muddled orange and those new fancy purple cherries, the big round ice cubes, I mean come on!
