This is perhaps mine and my husband's most favorite restaurant in the world! Only about a 30 min drive from Loreto Apruntino, Fungarolo is an agritourismo, so what is served at the table is made on premises from their own produce (of very very nearby). It's home-style cooking and very affordable. Our favourite is the sheep's ricotta ravioli with porcini mushrooms and LOTS OF TRUFFLE (found by dad in the nearby forest, of course) for about €5 a serve!!
It's great to go here on a clear day to take advantage of the views. If you drive past the restaurant, further up the mountain there are some great walks/hikes and a lovely plateau to see.

Hands-down the best place to eat seafood in Pescara and up there along with fungarolo as one of our most favorite restaurants. This restaurant is an institution in Pescara amongst the locals and is an absolute feast of the freshest seafood. It difficult to fit in the primi (pasta dishes) after the antipasti (must, must have)! but make sure you do. I've never made it to the secondi and never spent more than €35 pp including a LOT of 'house' wine. The lemon sorbet is the perfect way to finish.
