Food Scene

Our favorite coffee shop! And with coffee shop we really mean... coffee. White Label Coffee is served in cafes all over Amsterdam. But this is the place where they roast it and serve it as fresh as it gets. Must go!

This café is one of our go-to places for a nice cappuccino on their large and quiet terrace. They also serve cheesecake from a local bakery called 'Holtkamp'. Dangerously good!

At the end of the Rembrandtpark is this coffee bar, run by a Belgian guy named Bert. Started the first version of this coffee joint in Antwerp and moved over to Amsterdam a few years ago. This flamboyant chap knows his trade. Damn. Good. Coffee.

This bar is great for breakfast and brunch. If the weather's nice enough you can sit outside for a fair share of people spotting.

Pancakes! Did we say pancakes? Yes we did! And these are the absolute best you're gonna find in Amsterdam. Be warned, it can be really busy here as we're not the only ones who found out this place rocks. Great for breakfast. Or every other time of the day :-).

Great restaurant with cozy fireplace right in the middle. They got a solid menu with well priced dishes. Has an awesome terrace right at the Mercatorplein at which you can soak up some sunlight. Nice option for lunch as well.

Radijs is a cozy little restaurant. Their menu is short but solid with nice meat options at fair prices (they got a vegaburger as well!). Their absolute USP is the waterside terrace at the Admiralengracht. Order a German Weihenstephaner and have a good time! :-)

Drinks & Nightlife

This cool local bar has awesome burgers. On sunny days the terrace is packed with friendly people enjoying Frits' amazing selection of beer. At weekend night it gets quite crowded here, but never too busy. Oh and by the way, they serve a winning verdicchio wine here called 311. One of our favorites!
