The place is pumping on a Saturday morning - and is situated in an unused parking lot - so has full cover from the elements. Joburg at its best - with a real vibe and energy to it

If you're looking for a super posh (and pricey) evening out, then look no furthe than Marble, with its glitzy style New York bar, fabulos restaurant, stuning decor and great, sprawlig views of Johannesburg. Bookings are essential.

Your other options are Sandton City or Hyde Park Shopping Centre. Rosebank Mall also houses the famous Rosebank Rooftop market - Joburg's biggest flea market - open every Sunday and on public holidays.

Uber works like a dream in Johannesburg - so make sure you have the app downloaded. There have been some concerns around Uber X - so if you're in any doubt, use Uber Black - but I use Uber X daily - and haven't yet had an issue
