PLEASENTLY SURPRISED! I know what you are thinking; cuban food sounds interesting but this place doesnt look great. Give it a try! This guy is a veeery good cook. we tried the ."vaca frita" "the ropa vieja" "the picadillo" an the "chuleta" which were all great, make sure to try some "platanos fritos" and one of the exotic pops or juices.

-definitely sit at the bar, you will feel like you're just having a casual dinner party at a friend's place except the food is amazing.
-for a place that is written about so much it is still very down to earth and you're not just treated as another tourist.
Overall it's just an incredible place where the people just want to make good food and have a good time without all the frills.

Terrific little Gem just outside the city gates. Well worth the effort of walking there. Chocolate shop with a wide variety of homemade flavors, made fresh daily. We had the lavender filled chocolate and maple flavored chocolate. They also have a chocolate museum with the history of chocolate making in the region.
