The Firehouse has something for everyone. Great food, live music on weekends, a full wine bar next door with gift shop, AND a theater upstairs with shows every Friday and Saturday night. They are open for lunch too :-)

Only 25 minutes from downtown Rapid City. Scenic drive the whole way there. We love seeing the monument itself, but admittedly go several times a year for the hiking trails and our kids love the ice cream from the food court :-)

Great for kids and adventurists. Tons of local wildlife (taxidermy exhibit) to learn about as well as outdoor walking trails and a mud kitchen. Archery, fishing, and kayaking are sometimes offered or can be arranged ahead of time.
