Eureka Springs is a funky, fun town about an hour's drive away. Fun restaurants, shopping, galleries. My favorite restaurants are Ermilios and Oasis (which takes cash only!). Wander up and down Spring Street looking at shops.

This is about a 1.5 hour drive, but it's a fantastic museum and well worth your time if you want to get out and around. You won't believe this exists in Arkansas. Free admission and a great gift shop. Some good restaurants in the area.

A favorite swimming hole! From AR 43 (just outside of Ponca) turn north on AR 7 toward Jasper. Climb up about two miles and you'll see a sign for the campground on your left. When you reach the bottom of the hill turn left and follow the road all the way. Park and walk back to the river. Fun place to picnic, skip rocks, swim, take photos and watch floaters on the river.
