The small but well stocked supermarket has all the essentials plus some good specialties and is open till 8pm every day. There is also a local butcher and bakery just around the corner. Many of the local Cafes sell take away gourmet food and lovely treats and the market is on every Saturday.

Port Fairy is easy to get around, buses connect to Warrnambool with a bus stop just a few streets away. Tours operate from Port Fairy to visit surrounding areas but a car is most The local information centre has maps and guides however you will find information also in the manual in the kitchen of the house containing lots of information too. The historic town of Port Fairy itself is just a short walk and has many cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes including the longest licensed hotel in Victoria, The Caledonian, locally known as The Stump, which is great a family meal. The river and the walk to the lighthouse a beautiful no matter the weather. Both eastern beach and south beach offer different perspectives and things to do, both a very beautiful. Bike tracks and walking tracks also offer alternative ways of getting around Port Fairy or to other nearby towns. The bike/walk track which starts just down ocean boulevard in front of Pea Soup Beach is a great way to get into town from Beachhouse @Jehu Street, and offer spectacular views of the ocean. The local and well kept indoor swimming pool is also close by. A visit to Port Fairy Day Spa is also highly recommended for a special treat.
