Neighbourhoods

This is my favourite neighbourhood in Vancouver. Tons of small breweries to check out (Brassneck, Main Street Brewery, R&B, Faculty Brewing, Electric Bicycle, 33 Acres). Also lots of great cocktail spots (The Shameful Tiki room, Key Party, Cascade Room, Trocador). Head south along main street (starting at Main and Broadway), and check out all the cute shops and cafes. You can spend a whole day exploring Mount Pleasant. Catch the water taxi from Yaletown over to Olympic Village and from there it's a lovely walk. A great way to spend the day in Vancouver!

Historic Gastown. Check out the shops and restaurants along the cobble stone street. Has a good night scene in the evenings. Be sure to stop by the steam clock on the hour to hear it whistle (it always draws a crowd). Not far away is Coal Harbour with the digital whale, the 2010 olympic torch and a beautiful view of the North Shore mountains.
