In 1939, newly created British intelligence agency MI6 recruits Cambridge mathematics alumnus Alan Turing (played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the film “the Imitation Game”) to crack Nazi codes, including Enigma - which cryptanalysts had thought unbreakable. Turing's team analyze Enigma messages while he builds a machine to decipher them. Turing and team finally succeed and become heroes, but in 1952, the quiet genius encounters disgrace when authorities reveal he is gay and send him to prison.

Getting Around
Buses to Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central and rail station are every 7 mins from 6am – 11pm. The stop is on Fern Drive 300 yds from the house. Bletchley station is under 40 minutes walk using the special walking routes on the map through the Blue Lagoon or housing areas and Water Eaton Road.

Parks & Nature
The Blue Lagoon is the only Local Nature Reserve in Milton Keynes. The diverse habitat, including shallow and deep water, grassland, scrubland and woodland, has abundance of fauna and flora. Also a recreational facility it's on the site of a former brickworks whose manufacture was a major industry in Bletchley when they first opened in the 1890s. The nature reserve contains two pits: The Water Eaton pit was flooded in the 1940s when the adjoining brook burst its banks. The pure blue colour gave the lake its official name. The Flettons pit was used in brick manufacture until 1970.
