Just recently found this place. It's awesome! Great selection of beers, and they have something like 5000 vinyl LPs that they play. Awesome atmosphere. Quite small so get there early. Some food 5-9pm.

The annual BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park puts on concerts throughout the summer. Many offer free admission, no tickets required. If you can't get a ticket for a special performance, you can enjoy the music from the lawns just behind the bandshell.

Visit the BBG in the spring / summer when it's in bloom. Nice, quiet place for a walk, picnic etc. Right next to Prospect Park so can easily be combined.
