Authentic Mexican restaurant. Governor Jerry Brown used to make political deals here with city politicians when he was mayor of Oakland. Popular local restaurant. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When I last went there, they didn't have margaritas but I think it has changed ownership so maybe they do now.

During the summer, there are outdoor dance parties with free dance lessons and free outdoor movies. There ate always events going on. Yoshi's has iconic live jazz. Forge has great woodburning oven pizza. Farmhouse Thai has excellent food with a patio and indoor space. If you’re celebrating a birthday, be sure to let them know! Plank has outdoor games and indoor bowling. Great terrace for enjoying drinks and food.

Hikes, even on foggy days- lots of Redwoods. Great views of the Bay on your way there along Skyline Boulevard.
