Plenty of shade plus a river for hot days. The park has a play area for kids, but better yet explore by the river to find your favorite wading/swimming hole. You can follow the river north to find even quieter spots along a forested path. Or take the bridge to a trailhead that leads up to some amazing vistas. Lots of people go tubing on this river, too, which is fun to watch.
