Food Scene

Rainier Beach's family-friendly neighborhood bar, featuring great food, draft beer, Washington state wines & locally-distilled craft cocktails. We love the Tobasco Caesar Salad, the Eggplant Parmesan, the Shrimp Etouffee, and the burgers! This treasure is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive, and is the sister restaurant of Lottie’s Lounge in Columbia City.

A stunning twenty acres of hills and valleys, the Kubota Garden features streams, waterfalls, ponds, rock outcroppings and an exceptionally rich and mature collection of plant material. This unique urban refuge displays over sixty years of vision, effort and commitment by the Kubota family. It is now a city park, and only a half mile from the house. It is a gorgeous walk with stunning views of the city and Lake Washington to enjoy on the way, if you don't mind some steep hills.

There is an awesome new indoor swimming pool just down the street! It has a lap pool, diving board, long water slide, river with current, and kid water play area. It is also equpped with a sauna and nice changing rooms and showers, including a couple large family changing rooms. Highly recommend! The city only offers public swim times at specified times and for hour-long increments, so be sure to check the schedule before you go: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/aquatics/Pools/rainierbeach/schedule.htm
