SITES TO SEE & THINGS TO DO
The Eastlink Center is a facility that includes a pool, fitness classes, gym, squash and racquetball courts along with a court for drop-in basketball and volleyball. The Coca-Cola Center is attached to it, and has public skating and drop-in shinny.
If you like outdoorsy activities, Wapiti Nordic Club is amazing for walks, biking and hiking as well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. For more detailed information on biking, hiking and xski trails please check the Trailsforks/Alltrails apps/website. There are 3 disk golf courses in the area. The Udisk app is the local disk golf app.
Muskoseepi Park and the Bear Creek Trails are also great for bike riding, runs and walks.
Nitehawk is the local ski hill and also has downhill biking in the summer. O’Brian Park is a great place to hang out by the river on a hot summer day. Nearby lakes include Musreau Lake, Sturgeon Lake and Saskatoon Lake.
For entertainment, the local Card’s Boardgame Cafe downtown offers great games and service. Grande Prairie also has two escape room companies in town, two bowling alleys and a Cineplex movie theater.
