Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The party starts in the evening as the floating winds down. The cover charge is usually $10 and is CASH only. Otherwise, cards are taken at the bar and grill. Dance the night away!

Live music every day!! Gruene Hall, built in 1878, is Texas’ oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. By design, not much has physically changed since the Hall was first built. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden.
Through the years, the big winners have always been Gruene Hall’s patrons. A person watching a show never knows if the artist they see at the Hall today will be a star tomorrow, but they can know that the music they hear will always be top notch.

Floating at Fernweh
Memorial Day thru Labor Day ONLY! For our renters that desire a traditional Guadalupe River float with shuttle service, we have partnered with the amazing owners, Christina and Price, at CaP's Crossing. CaP's is a superb outfit on River Road offering float trips lasting: 2.5 hours, 5.5 hours, and 7 hours. The cost per person to float is $25/person (CASH ONLY) and includes shuttle pickup in the Koozie's General Store parking lot (short walk), tube provided by CaP's Crossing (no personal tubes allowed), as well as take-out shuttle service from Lone Star back to Koozie's. Cooler tubes are an additional cost. CaP's only takes CASH for all shuttle/tube rental services. There is an ATM on their site that you can use if needed. CaP's will provide their wristbands to identify any users for pickup at the takeout location.
Takeout at the end of any of the float trips from CaP's Crossing is at Lone Star Float House. There are a multitude of flags and signs pointing you to the BEST BURGER EVER at Lone Star! Last takeout pickup by CaP's at Lone Star is at 6:30pm - later takeouts may be accommodated but will be charged double the tube rental fee.

To book your float trip and shuttle with CaP's Crossing, you must text (phone number provided in your unit) the CaP's staff of desired pickup time (last pickup at Koozie's for a 2.5-hour float is 3:00pm - plan accordingly if you desire a longer float trip). When texting, make sure to communicate that you are a guest at Fernweh Hillside, indicate the number of people you have in your party and your desired pickup timeframe (please allow for a 30-minute window). The stellar team at CaP's will do their very best to accommodate your desired timeframe.
Upon receiving confirmation from the booking team at CaP's, you and your party should make your way on foot to the Koozie's General Store parking lot to await the CaP's Crossing shuttle bus.

Fernweh guests enjoy private river access at our sister property located across the street at 8570 River Road. The cistern at the front of the property will let you know you’re in the right spot! The gate code is the same as Fernweh Hillside. Please enter the code again on the internal gate keypad to close the gate before heading down to the river to maintain the integrity of entry & exit at our private property. A short walk to the right of the main house & down the hill, & you’ll arrive at your paradise! Enjoy private access to the water via our concrete bulkhead.
If you take advantage of visiting our private river access at 8570 River Road, please make sure that one person in your party is wearing an orange wrist band so that our team and our other renters will know that you are authorized to be onsite at Fernweh Riverfront. The wrist bands will be with your welcome paperwork inside your cottage. Thank you!!
