Insalata's restaurant in San Anselmo ....at foot of hill make right onto Sir Francis Drake into San Anselmo and it's mustard color on right. Reservations recommended and parking a bit tricky. Most fabulous nuance to Middle Eastern cuisine. Fine dining with outdoor seating as well. *****
This is excellent Italian food for lunch & dinner. It will soon have a bar upstairs with pizza over that features snacks, TV & alcohol. An exceptional wine list & you must try the Brussels sprouts.

It used to be Dominic's Seafood Restaurant in San Rafael but is now located in Sausalito in the Harbor. You can buy fish here to cook or sit inside or out with a view. It's good & fun.

Sightseeing
Stinson Beach - 1 hour ride Sir Francis Drake (right) all the way left at Hwy 1 down to Stinson entrance to park. Go early & dress warmly as weather changes quickly. Bathrooms.
Limantour Beach - 1 hour ride Sir Francis Drake (right at foot of hill) keep going forever until hwy 1 & left towards Drakes Cove left at Limantour Beach sign & another 6 miles to coast. Bathrooms.
Muir Woods - National Park via Mill Valley where United Nations was initiated. Excellent Redwoods & Canopy trail a darn good workout ....mountain goats only.
Phoenix Lake is in Ross, CA and is a nice 3.5 hike around a reservoir. There are many other trails for hikes & bikes are prevalent.

Muir Woods is a must but you need a reservation for parking
It's not too far & definately worth it. Go to the MuirWoods website & book parking & entry.
I recommend the Canopy trail inside that is steep about 7miles and qualifies for a very good workout within nature's wealth.
The United Nations has history of formation here & adds to an educational benefit for kids. The Redwoods are millions of years old. Like prior to Dino's.
