This wine and tapas treasure has gorgeous bay views and a beautifully-curated collection of vintage goods and local artwork for sale. My favorite is the Jammin' Ham Sandwich and a cup of Nordic Morning tea.

There are two ways to ascend Mount Marathon. The "race trail" is for the highly trained and equipped hiker only! It is very steep and very rocky. The preferred hiking trail is the "jeep trail" which meanders more gracefully to the summit on a longer, but more beautiful path. And the trailhead is only three doors down from your front door!

The SeaLife Center is the best place to see Alaskan marine mammals, sea creatures, and sea birds. They do amazing conservation and animal rescue work. If you're lucky, you may get to peek at one of the young animals they are rehabilitating.
